Ode Cafe

This little gem is tucked away in the outskirts of Chennai. Not only is the feel rustic and organic, it also redeems itself in terms of peace of quiet. But the best part is the vast collection of transgressive and nihilistic literature collected from around the world. The trouble was, it only catered to a certain set of people but that only made it more exclusive and "cool". You could just relax with a random book but you could never finish it. And that's why you keep going back!

  1. Thanks Ashwin! While we cannot add the great Chennai's nature, I think we could still have more nature... In fact, this came out from several of my discussions with students: how to make the metro tech square "greener"... I like the idea of the collected books. This is something very nice when you travel and go to backpacking hotels or cafes, you can find books left by others, sometimes exchanged. Imagine we could have some shared bookshelves in a space and people could come and read...
